The Streaming Giant Selects Perfect Star for Bentham in the Hit Series Season 3
The Secret Organization is set to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, though the major clash won’t unfold until the next season, and a cherished, popular member has recently been selected.
The platform declared this week that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Mr. 2. This character can use their power to transform into an exact copy of any person they’ve made contact with with their right hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that character re-envisioned as gender non-binary, as opposed to as a drag artist, in the live-action show, unlike the initial comic and cartoon version.
This performer will work alongside several other recently announced actors set to bring the group to reality, featuring head the main antagonist, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the cast as the monarch of the desert kingdom.
Though Bon Clay is a key figure of Baroque Works, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the third season. With the second season likely to portray the Little Garden arc, this signals a notable change in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could suggest additional alterations to the story’s structure.
Escola’s blend of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the part. Along with their latest vocal work in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is due to premiere for its next installment on March 10, 2026.
