New information has come to light regarding the shocking deaths of renowned film director Rob Reiner and artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were located at their Brentwood, Los Angeles property on Sunday.

A Discovery

As detailed in an account citing a confidential source, a practitioner arriving for an session first raised the alarm after failing to get inside the house. This individual then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides in the vicinity.

Upon entering the residence, Romy found her father's body. It is said she then left the home distraught, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Her roommate who had gone with her contacted 911. Subsequently, paramedics found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Proceedings

Authorities have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of first-degree murder, along with the charge related to a weapon, said to be a knife. He is now being held without bail.

Clarifications

The anonymous source challenged several earlier details. The source indicated that while Romy Reiner informed emergency responders that her brother Nick resided in a separate structure on the property, she did not name him as a potential suspect at that moment.

Furthermore refuted circulated claims that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been particularly "worried" about Nick's actions in the preceding period. The source claimed the family was "familiar with working through [Nick's] problems together."

The statement also extends to reports of alleged "unstable" conduct by Nick at a event thrown by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the bodies were found. While the source said they were unable to confirm whether Rob had "chastised" his son at the party, they maintained that reports of a "major confrontation" between the two were inaccurate.

Investigation Details

Per law enforcement officials, the coroner had yet to determine as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died late on Saturday or on Sunday. Some media reports suggested the state of their bodies suggested they had been deceased for a period of time.

Nick Reiner was taken into custody at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the neighbourhood of Exposition Park, some 15 miles from the residence. He was scheduled to have a hearing on Tuesday, but his lawyer, Alan Jackson, stated his client had a medical issue and would be unable to attend until Wednesday or later.
